SOURCE - Sacred Springs
This was a very short lived idea, focusing on British pilgrimage, the holy sites of sacred springs and wells, and on the numinosity and sublime qualities of medieval painting techniques.
Source was to explore our landscape in relation to acts of worship, medievael painting techniques, numinosity, alchemy, the sacred, and the sublime. Learning the ancient painting technique of egg tempera, and drawing in silverpoint, formed part of this project.
Whilst I still love Silverpoint drawing, I found Egg Tempera Painting too frustrating, with no opportunity for exciting paint surfaces so I didn't continue.
